Please Recycle!
The Town of Hinsdale encourages recycling and all residents should do their best to reduce the amount of waste going to the burn plant. Thank you for your cooperation with this.
Recycling Containers
Recycling made easy — it takes just 2 containers...
#1 Glass, Cans & Plastics Container:
- Glass beverage containers, food jars.
- All aluminum, steel & tin cans.
- Plastics with the logo #1 –7.
- Please rinse everything — labels can be left on.
- NO Styrofoam, plastic bags or wraps.
- No drinking glasses or light bulbs.
- If you can put the product in your mouth or on your body, the container is safe to recycle BUT when in doubt throw it out.
#2 Paper and Cardboard Container:
- White & Mixed Paper — Can be put in paper bags.
- Newsprint & Magazines — Can be put in paper bags.
- Cardboard Boxes — Must be broken down.
- No food contaminated boxes or containers, please.
Reminders
- All cardboard needs to be broken down and flattened.
- Please put it in paper bags or cardboard boxes if necessary.
