Bids & Contracts 

The Town of Hinsdale, acting through its Town Administrator, invites sealed bids from contractors for the Old Dalton Road Reconstruction & Related Work project. The work to be performed includes full depth reclamation from Rt 143 to East of Rt 8, and West of Rt 8 to the Dalton Town Line, with culvert replacement.
 

A Bid Proposal Package for this project, which contains detailed specifications, bid form and other pertinent information, is available electronically after 2:00pm on March 4, 2020 by email request to nelms@foresightland.com. Sealed bids are due at the Hinsdale Town Hall by 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 2, 2020, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
 

Only prospective bidders who are pre-qualified for this project by MassDOT will be entitled to bid on this project. The estimated project value to be included on the pre-qualification form is $1,000,000.
 

The work under this contract shall be subject to the provisions of Chapter 30, Section 39M of the Massachusetts General Laws. Wages are subject to Massachusetts’s minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27D, inclusive. All applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations and rules shall be observed.
 

The Town of Hinsdale reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, in whole or in part, to waive any informality in the bids received, and to accept the bid deemed to be most favorable to the best interest of the Town. The bidder agrees that its bid shall be good and not withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days, Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays excluded, after the date of opening the bids.
