West Nile Virus Positive Mosquito Samples Have Been Identified in Hinsdale


The following cities and towns had WNV positive mosquito sample(s): Athol and Hinsdale.

Moderate day and cool evening temperatures will encourage outdoor activities increasing resident's exposure. Human risk will continue until the first hard frost. Recommended public health measures include raising awareness among residents, reminding residents to use mosquito repellents with an EPA-registered active ingredient, and observing peak mosquito activity at dusk and dawn.
