Board of Health Monthly Meeting Minutes for January 31, 2023

Attendance: Ken Boudreau-Chair

  1. Meeting opened at 4:30 PM
  2. Minutes from meetings on August 8, 2022, August 30, 2022 and September 27, 2022 were approved.
  3. Septic Systems
  • Michaels Road-Title 5 inspection found that the septic tank and piping needed replacement. Tank was broken and piping was orangeberg material. Andy Walker made the repairs and Joe Tribus submitted a passing Title 5 inspection report following the repairs.
  • Country Road Cooperative Septic System #1: Upgrades were completed by White Wolf Trucking and Excavation
  1. Housing:
  • 111 Peru Road: The health agent forwarded a letter outlining the various housing code violations present which should be repaired. Fire Chief Ralph Cormier informed the board of health on January 1, 2023 that the house appeared to be abandoned and that there was water leaking from piping in the house. He had the water shut off and the power company disconnected the house from the electrical supply in the street. A copy of the letter dated October 4, 2022 which was sent to the owners of the property was forwarded to an additional owner Laurie Moselsky via email.
  1. COVID-19 update: 4 cases logged into state reporting system for Hinsdale since the new year.
  2. Permitting for: Solid Waste Haulers, Septage Haulers, and Food Services is completed.
  3. A well permit was received and approved for 401 George Schnopp Road. The approval was conditional on the agreement that the two existing wells on the property be decommissioned.
  4. The meeting adjourned at 5:00PM.
  5. Next meeting has not been scheduled.

The Board of Health Monthly Meeting is typically held on the 4th Tuesday of every month beginning at 4:30 PM.
