Select Board Meeting Minutes

Attendees: Richard Scialabba (via telephone), Raymond Bolduc, Robert Graves, Chief Rathbun; Clarissa Mitchell

At 7:02 pm, Ray Bolduc called the meeting to order and asked if anyone was recording the session and asked everyone in attendance to silence cell phones. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

A motion was made (Scialabba) and seconded (Bolduc) to accept meeting minutes presented for March 23, 2022, Select Board meeting. All said, Aye.

Communications and Reports from Department Heads, Boards, and Chairs:

  • Town Administrator

    • The police contract should be finalized by April 13th  

    • We are still waiting on quotes for the capping of the transfer station.

    • We received the final document to send to Northgate, just waiting for the lawyer to sign it and mail it. Northgate has 20 days to respond.

    • Robert Graves is working diligently on the budget.

    • Middlefield Rd. project will start on April 4th.

  • Chief Rathbun

    • Peru is hosting a mass casualty workshop on May 21st.

Next, Chairman Scialabba made a motion to declare May Older American Month in Hinsdale. Ray Bolduc seconded the motion. All said, Aye.

Jordan Boska requested a new business certificate, and she is starting a fabric business and operating online. Dick made a motion to approve Hopland Fabrics' request for a new business certificate, and Bolduc seconded the motion; all said, Aye.

Lastly, Dick Scialabba made a motion to appoint Ian Curtiss as a full-time provisional police officer. Ray seconded the motion; all said, Aye. His employment will take effect on April 4th.

There was no new business to discuss, Bolduc motioned to adjourn the meeting at 7:17 pm. Scialabba seconded the motion; all said, Aye.
