Councils on Aging provide support services to elders, families and caregivers in the community. As a local agency, the Council on Aging serves as an elder advocate, and offers services and activities for elders.
DO YOU HAVE SOME EXTRA TIME AND WANT TO DO SOME VOLUNTEERING?
The Hinsdale Council on Aging is looking for new members to replace members that are leaving the board. If you can help with the programs it now has, and have ideas for new programs for the seniors, WE NEED YOU!
Come to our next meeting at the Hinsdale Town Hall at 5:30pm. See if you would like to help us out.
If you have questions, you can call any of our board members.

Naturally we are all concerned about staying safe as we return. We are asking all who wish to participate to adhere to the following guidelines to keep everyone as safe as possible and to create an environment that feels comfortable.
All participants should be masked entering/leaving the building, the room upstairs, and during the class.
All participants should maintain a distance of 6 feet or more apart.
It is highly recommended that participants have received a Covid vaccination, or at least the first dose of a two-dose vaccine.
There will be handi-wipes and hand sanitizer for your use.
Please bring your own mats and pillow/blanket/straps to meet your needs. There will be blocks available which are sanitized before and after use.
If you are new to Hinsdale Yoga, you must complete a Waiver/Release form before class.
Thanks to Cathy Spinney of the Hinsdale Council on Aging, and Lynne Baumgartner, Town Administrative Assistant, for their support and coordination with the town to make this class possible.
Council on Aging has a Newsletter that is being mailed quarterly (to all seniors over 65 only due to the cost of printing and mailing); however, seniors over 60 are welcome to all events. To subscribe, please send a request with your email address to: COA@Hinsdalema.gov
