Dog Licenses Now Available for 2021
2021 Dog licenses are now available through the Town Clerk’s office.
After March 31, there will be a late fee assessed for any dogs who are not licensed or any current license that goes unrenewed.
Due to COVID-19, the town hall is currently closed to the public so please follow these steps for license renewal:
You may mail your paperwork with proof of rabies vaccine and spaying or neutering to: Town Clerk, PO Box 803, Hinsdale, MA 01235, along with a check made out to the Town of Hinsdale for the appropriate fee. (Spayed and Neutered dogs are $10.00 each/ Non-spayed or non-neutered are $20.00 each. For other fees please call 413-655-2301.) All paperwork will be returned to you with the license. You may also use the Town Hall drop box to the left of the back of the building.
Failure to license your dog may result in a fine of up to $50.00, plus other applicable fees.
Winter Parking Regulations Go Into Effect November 1
The Town of Hinsdale would like to remind residents that parking on a public way or from any private way open to the public, obstructing snow removal from November 1 to April 15 during the hours of 12 midnight to 8am is prohibited.
Towing costs and fines will be the responsibility of the vehicle's registered owner as stated in the Town of Hinsdale By-Laws.
Mobile Food Bank at Dalton CRA on 4th Wednesday each month
The Mobile Food Bank is still distributing food at the Dalton CRA on Main Street, even in the winter months. The truck comes on the 4th Wednesday of every month from 11 am – noon. The items are typically produce and dairy, so not items you can get at the food banks. Please bring your own bags.

Winter Sand Available; Seniors Can Ask for Delivery
Winter Sand is available for seniors for use on steps, walks, driveways, etc. Anyone over 60 needing sand can have it delivered. To be put on the list for sand delivery, please call the Town Hall Admin. Assistant at 413-655-2300 x345 or email select.board@hinsdalema.gov and supply your contact information. Please be aware that timing of the deliveries will be as the Highway Dept. can manage them. For anyone wanting sand but not needing delivery, please go to the Town Hall parking lot facing Route 8 where there is a pile available for residents. If picking up on your own, please supply your own container. Sand may also be obtained at the transfer station during regular hours.

If you want to skip the trip to Town Hall or just want to save time when you come to Town Hall by having your form filled out in advance, click here to print out the Transfer Station Permit Application. Then mail it per instructions or bring it with you and save time.

DONATIONS ARE FOR THE SONSINI ANIMAL SHELTER. DONATIONS CAN BE BROUGHT TO THE POLICE DEPT.
